Description

Since 1837 Lamson has been manufacturing the highest quality American made knives, cutlery and kitchen tools. Born out of their father’s steel tool business, Ebenezer and Nathanial Lamson partnered with Abel Goodnow to create Lamson and Goodnow, a leader in American made, finely crafted knives and cutlery. Their reputation as the premier manufacturer of fine cutlery in the US won them a commission to make a set of cutlery for the White House in 1869. That handmade set , with pearl and ivory handles and engraved with the American maple leaves now resides in the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC Lamson continues to honor its tradition and heritage to the present day. Using only the finest quality steel, North American hardwoods and skilled craftsmen and by combining our centuries old techniques with modern manufacturing processes and technology, we have been on the cutting edge of design and quality for over 180 years.
