Larch Wood was formed in 2003 in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada. Initially we manufactured Larch flooring using the native Eastern Canadian Larch which grows abundantly in Cape Breton. In 2004 we decided to launch a second product, Larch End Grain Cutting Boards. We created 3 initial sizes and had them tested by chef's and in local kitchens. The bold grain patterning found in the Larch along with its renowned durability made it not only a superior cutting surface but a stunningly beautiful cutting board. Since introducing the Larch Wood boards into the market in 2004 they have proven to be best sellers in many kitchen shops and galleries across North America. We have a small dedicated crew of craftspeople who not only create the boards but also work together as a design team. In 2018 we redid our popular 'KI' series. A little smaller and a little brighter. We look forward to presenting our work to you.
